2021 NBR
VIDEO CONTEST

BEE-ing Thankful, BEE-ing Proud
and BEE-ing Positive!

To celebrate the City’s “Hard Hittin” spirit throughout the past year, the New Britain Youth and Family Services Commission is seeking submissions to commemorate City residents! While the commission usually holds an awards ceremony, there will be no in-person celebrations this year due to COVID-19 restrictions. Instead, all residents who would like to acknowledge someone or something positive in the City of New Britain are invited to enter a video submission.

All submissions can be a short 20-30 second video clip uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo that illustrates individuals, organizations or businesses from the New Britain community exhibiting: BEE-ing Thankful, BEE-ing Proud and BEE-ing Positive. All submissions are due April 7. For more information, contact New Britain Youth and Family Services Youth Advocate Omar McDew at 860-826-3394 or omcdew@newbritainct.gov.

The submissions will be recognized during a special Youth and Family Services Commission meeting on Wednesday, May 19 at 6 p.m. They will also be on display at the Celebrate New Britain Festival on Sept. 26 and 27, which culminates the City’s year-long sesquicentennial celebrations.
